These Curtain rods are typical of the slender rods found in café windows and can be mounted above the window or midway across the window to offer some privacy and a view of the outdoors.

These curtain rods are hand made from 1/2" solid iron and the outside mounted rods have a 2" projection.

Café rods 60" and over in length require center support mounts.

Cafe curtain rods over 90" long will be split in two sections for shipping purposes. 

For outside mounted rods, measure from left end to right end of rod and provide that measurement without any deductions. 

For inside mounted rods, measure the opening and provide that measurement without any deductions, we will subtract for the mounts after the order is received.

Light weight café curtains or sheers are recommended.

These curtain rods are hand forged from 1/2″ solid iron and the outside mounted rods have a 2″ projection.

Order changes on custom curtain rods can be made within 24 hours of placing the order. Since all curtain rods are custom cut to your measurements, we can not make changes after the 24 hours.

OUTSIDE MOUNTED CAFE ROD
Measure the window width, and add enough on each side so that the curtain will completely cover the window frame. Cafe return rods typically extend 2" past the windows while cafe rods with endcaps typically extend 3" past the window.

FLUSH MOUNTED CAFE ROD
Measure the full width of the window including the window molding. Reduce that dimension by 1" to account for the with of the mounting hardware. This is the cafe rod length.

INSIDE MOUNTED CAFE ROD
Measure the window frame opening and provide that measurement without any deductions. (We will subtract for the mounts after the order is received)

*If you have mounting surfaces with different depths, we recommend a design consultation to ensure you have the proper hardware for your window.

*If your rod length is over 93". please provide mount locations in the special instructions box.

Our antique black finish is a very deep flat black reminiscent of the hand applied carbon and wax finishes used by yesterday’s blacksmiths.

Our hand applied iron oxide patina finish is the most versatile finish we produce. It is the correct choice for rustic and Tuscan decor and blends perfectly with your oil rubbed bronze, rusty brown, or black iron decor.

Our hand applied burnished silver patina finish has rich nickel silver highlights with antique black iron undertones and blends well with stainless or nickel accessories and decor.

Our hand applied antique gold patina finish has rich deep gold highlights with antique black iron undertones reminiscent of Spanish and Italian treasure.

Curtain rod orders ship within 3-4 weeks via UPS.

The maximum length we can ship cafe curtain rods in one piece is 93″. Rods longer in length will be split for shipping purposes and connector with the mounting hardware.
