Additional Information

Choose the 7/8″ diameter or the 1-1/4″ for your corner rods.

The 7/8″ rod comes with a 90 degree radius corner and the 1 1/4″ rod comes with a 90 degree mitered corner.

Rods that are extensive in length will ship in two or more pieces depending on the size. Rest assured, we can easily guarantee that any of our joined curtain rods will be as strong and functional as a one-piece curtain rod. When our rods are split for shipping, they and joined together internally with a center connector so there is never a bump for your curtains to hang up on. Mounting brackets will be placed where the rods join together.

Bypass Mounts and C-Curtain Rings are recommended for all rods with corner bends to allow your draperies to stack neatly into the corners of the window.

Order changes on custom curtain rods can be made within 24 hours of placing the order. Since all curtain rods are custom cut to your measurements, we can not make changes after the 24 hours.

Measuring windows for double curtain rods is about the same as measuring them for single or standard curtain rods except that you need to be sure to check that the longer projection of the double rod mounting brackets won’t interfere with sills or shelves that may be installed around the window.

Measure the window width, and add enough on each side so that the drapes will block the light around the sides of the window, and allow the drape to slide sufficiently off of the window when they are opened. This measurement is the drapery rod length.

Make sure you have room beyond these measurements for the drapery rod finials you have selected.

For Corner curtain Rod with a French Return Leave enough room on the outside end of the return for your curtains to wrap around the rod, a 3″ minimum clearance is recommended.

For inside mounted rods (mounted to the wall perpendicular the window wall), measure the opening and provide that measurement without any deductions, we will subtract for the thickness of the mounts after the order is received.

Our antique black finish is a very deep flat black reminiscent of the hand applied carbon and wax finishes used by yesterday’s blacksmiths.

Our hand applied iron oxide patina finish is the most versatile finish we produce. It is the correct choice for rustic and Tuscan decor and blends perfectly with your oil rubbed bronze, rusty brown, or black iron decor.

Our hand applied burnished silver patina finish has rich nickel silver highlights with antique black iron undertones and blends well with stainless or nickel accessories and decor.

Our hand applied antique gold patina finish has rich deep gold highlights with antique black iron undertones reminiscent of Spanish and Italian treasure.

We stock every item shown on the web site, and ship most curtain rod orders within 3-4 weeks via UPS ground. Custom made parts and custom plate cutting like t-straps and hinges may take a few weeks.

The maximum length we can ship curtain rods in one piece is 94″ however, we will generally split curtain rods at the mounting points if over 80″. We have developed a system that is invisible, strong, easy to assemble, and will allow you to build a high-quality curtain rod without concern of sagging or poor performance.

To order a French Return on one side only, use the "Special Instructions" box to tell us which side needs an end mount or finial and which side needs a 90-degree return.
