How do I connect my rod to the bypass mount?
After connecting both sections of rod together with the center connector insert, place the bypass mount next to the seam opposite of the screw head. With the supplied self tapping screw, drill the screw through the hole in the mount, the rod and center connecter.
How the screws and caps fit together?
Bath hardware and old world mounts will include a screw, black washer, silver washer, and plastic cap to give the look of a rivet. First, drop the silver washer on the screw to cup over the screwhead. Second, twist on the black washer (will sit between the mounting service and cap). Drill the screw into the wall and finish by snapping the plastic cap onto the silver washer.
What are Center Connectors?
The center connectors are not a loose part but will be attached to one side of the sections of rod, it’s the silver piece sticking out of the rod and is how the rods are joined together.
Rest assured, we can easily guarantee that any of our joined curtain rods will be as strong and functional as a one-piece curtain rod. When our rods are split for shipping, they are joined together internally with a center connector so there is never a bump for your curtains to hang up on.
